Lost or Stolen Phone

So why are we developing yet another lost phone/stolen phone app? There are a number of very good reasons. Once we release our app, we will explain here exactly why we developed it and why it's design is superior to those currently in the Android Play store. The current crop of lost phone/stolen phone apps all have one major flaw. We will tell you exactly what that flaw is when we release our app and how our design eliminates it.

We also wanted to set the record straight on what these kinds of apps can and cannot do.We've read about the features and capabilities the other apps say they can do for you. The truth is, your device may not be able to do all of the things they say it can.

We will tell you what our features are and then be honest with you and tell you why your device may or may not be able to respond to some of our commands. For example, some of the other apps tell you that you can use log into their remote control website and turn on your phone's GPS sensor. Then when you try it, you discover you can't. What we will tell you is that we give you the capability to do that but your phone has to have a certain operating system version in order for this to work. In other words, depending on how old your phone is, you may or may not be able to turn on your GPS sensor remotely. That's a fact. There is no company that can turn on your GPS if your OS doesn't support it. Period.

We will release a fully functional Trial version so you can try out all of our features on your device before you pay $1.49 for the Pro version. We want you to know what features we offer will and will not work on your specific device. So we will release a free Trial version and a paid Pro version.

If you've lost or misplaced your Android device, you can make it play it's ring tone (if it's a phone) or play the notification sound if it's a tablet, to help you find it. You do this by logging into our Remote Control Center and choose which commands to send to your device.

And speaking of Tablets. Most of the other find phone/lost phone apps ignore the tablet segment of the Android market. We want to support tablets so you'll find our lost app/stolen app will work fine on a cellular phone or on a wifi enabled tablet. And this includes playing a 'ring tone' so you can find it in your own house. And it also includes back end communications without using SMS as most, if not all, of the other apps use. SMS won't work on tablets, just phones. We've spent a lot of time on our functional design to make sure tablets are fully supported.

You will also be able to monitor it's location if it is stolen and be provided a Google Map URL link so you can see where your Android device is. We will also display the address, city, state and zip code of its location (if this data is available). Our app will be the only providing you with address detail information.

We are currently in middle of designing a zero battery use communications link so you can communicate with your device if you've lost it or if its stolen. While it's beyond the scope here to technically discuss the options available, we can tell you we have looked at all of the communications protocols and have settled on one with zero battery drain that can be used on a cell phone and a tablet!

We have some other suprises for you with some features not found on any other app in this category.

Our Remote Control design is very stealthly. That's all we can say about it for now. A lot of details will be made available here once we release this new app.
